Client Collaboration and Results
In 2019, I took on the task of designing a website to promote the sales of a client’s two products. To ensure success, I began with extensive discovery and research of their existing website, brand, and competitors. Through this process, I developed a comprehensive mood board of design styles and animation examples for the client’s review.
Using this knowledge, I created a sitemap, wireframes, prototypes, and designs for both mobile and desktop displays. My primary focus was on highlighting the product options and creating eye-catching animations to draw the user’s attention.
To facilitate the development process, I designed components and a final design system. I collaborated closely with the development team to ensure top-quality output, and the client was thrilled with the final result.
Learnings and Outcomes
Through my experience working on this project, I learned that collaborating closely with the development team from the design phase is crucial. This approach not only minimizes the need for back-and-forth communication after the design phase but also results in a better quality end product.
Additionally, I discovered the importance of implementing quality assurance (QA) by design during the staging of the website. This enabled us to conduct a thorough review and ensure the best output for the client.
