I worked on the project in early 2020. I was tasked with designing a website that would reflect the luxury brand. The aim of the site was to facilitate bookings and display the menu.
I produced wireframes and designs for the one page site. The final design was approved with minimal changes and the client was very happy. Copy was added during development.
Learnings and Outcomes
- 2020 was a very challenging time for the restaurant industry, especially for new restaurants coming into the market, as a result the project did not launch into development.
- Restaurant marketing is influenced by visual appeal. Good photography of both the food and the ambience of the location aid in selling the experience.
